Paid writing consultations & implementation support
I offer paid consultations where I help with developing journal articles, paying special attention to the Introduction and Discussion sections.
We work together, live, in a shared document. You bring the material, and we edit it together. In my experience that’s the fastest way to find out what message you’re trying to get across exactly.

Then we develop it on the spot using quick drafting techniques like freewriting — or we simply talk about your research. This can be surprisingly effective for figuring out what it is that you need to write exactly.
I don’t have an IMRaD paper/experimental work, can we still work together?
Yes. The most important thing to keep in mind is that different scientific fields have different conventions. We use your target journal as our guide, so that the structure and language of your work resemble that of the target journal in your field.
Moreover, a large part of writing isn’t structure related, but rather lies in challenges with the process. Those are things we can address regardless of field.

Will you make me write something that’s wrong?
No. You bring the knowledge, and I trust that knowledge is correct (your supervisors and co-author should help ensure that it is indeed correct). What I do is help you structure your ideas and point out gaps in the logic of the words you’ve written on the paper. In other words, I bring a fresh pair of eyes, tell you what is wrong and show you how to fix it, by fixing it with you on the spot.

Pricing
I offer writing consultations at €80 per hour. We work online (videocall).
How many sessions will I need?
Typically 1-2 sessions for the Introduction, 2-3 sessions for the Discussion.
